Are cuds in pennys worth anything?

I found a 1956 D wheat penny with a cud in the circle of the 6. It fills the circle.

Has anyone bought one before? Anyone sold one before?

those are just die chips, cuds are always at the edge of the coin. A cud is caused by a piece breaking off of the die.

I agree with bman, but it is also likely that that could have happened in circulation. Maybe you can upload a picture if it's not too much trouble?

I put all those in 2x2s and label them "filled 9" or "filled 6" or whatever. I haven't tried to sell any, but they should bring some premium. I would guess less than a buck.

The filled die/die chip are quit common. I don't think I would try and sell something like that unless it was pretty dramatic.
