One of my employess bought uncleaned Roman coins from the internet.

He cleaned one.

The Lincoln Memorial was clearly visible.

I hope he got his money back or left negative feedback. If it was too late to do so, if the auction was cheap enough, he could buy another coin and then post negative feedback. What a rip-off. I hate scam artists.

Hoard now and hold on!

I gotta agree. He showed me this beat up penny. Almost as if it was partialy melted and polished. The coins apparently were encrusted with clay or somthing like that.

I just hate when people pull that sh*t.

But yes when he showed me the coin we both giggled.

That really sucks for him but I can't help but find it kind of funny.

I haven't seen the photo but I've seen the uncleaned ancient Roman coin ads, or shipwreck coins.

The pictures usually look like crusted over coins.
