I went in to get rolled pennies and had to wait for them to get them out of the vault. As I was waiting, I noticed silver in the dime tray. I asked to buy $1 worth of dimes. I wasn't sure if they were silver, but at least one of them looked good.

I got 3 silver roos

Not a bad score, considering I have never got a silver dime for only 10 cents a piece.

I ALWAYS check the trays. I have scored more than 1 silver dime by just taking the time to peak at the trays.

In a lot of banks I go to, the trays are out of sight of the customer either in a drawer or under the counter, especially those heavily secured branches that have 2 inches of glass between you and the teller.

How come your banks have more silver on hand? Mine have never had any and I've looked around for 2 years!

I hit 9 banks last week and only got 1 40% half. Will have to try again this week in another part of town.
