I went to my local craft store looking for some strong magnets that they sell (these things are much, much stronger than the round black magnets that you find most of the time) and I wandered into a section that had supplies for making small clay sculptures.
One item they had for sale was shaping wire, used to give strength to sculptures. Some shaping wires were aluminum, some were copper.
They sell the wire in tubes and in each tube is six wires each a foot long.
The price for the copper shaping wire, $5.99 per tube, maybe one ounce of copper for about six bucks.
Like I said before, somebody is making money but it shure as heck aint me.
This is proof that packaging and marketing the product is much more important than the product itself.

I should have chosen "Cut-n-Paste" as a forum name, since that is what I do, mostly.

Mind if I ask, did you ever find the magnets? My wife, a teacher, would be interested in them.

(didn't even notice they had a website until I looked at the back of the package today)

The craft store Michael's sells them (I think they have a website too.)

Just remember, these are strong.

I don't usually use their website since a Michael's is a few blocks away from where I live.
