Eight Boxes sorted today. 6 Zn, 2 Cu. Lots of Wheaties....unsorted right now...I'll sort my copper boxes some snowy night next to the fire. Picked up 16 boxes today at 2 different branches. That will keep me busy for the weekend. My girlfriend is telling her friends about my penny habit...they laugh on the phone at me.....I tell them.."Love Me????Love My Pennies! It's hard getting use to the looks from the people in line at the bank as you walk out with your boxes and boxes of pennies. I wonder what they think???? I enjoy reading all the posts on this site....It's nice to know that I am not the only "Penny Fen" out there... Have a nice weekend Gang!

I bet they think "Is this what a bank run looks like?"

Sounds like a good haul today! I managed to score 22 boxes of pennies today along with 3 and a half boxes of nickels. Should be enough to get me through the weekend. How do you get all those pennies to the car? I use a cart since I pick up so many at once. When people at the bank give me those looks I just tell them "I have so much money I have to wheal it out."
If your percentages are low.. just sort more.

CopperHead,
16 boxes, Wow your trying to make up for lost ground. look out C140 and HCBTT, the competition is heating up.
Have you tried to get bags from Credit Unions yet? After a few months you might get sick of unwrapping, and just go for the loose. Look for credit unions or banks that have coinstar like machines in the lobbies, and ask if you can buy the bags. If they argue, you can make suggestions like "I'll bring my own bags, so they can save the fed bag cost (about .50 cents each). Many banks and CU's have to unwrap the CWR before sending out with the armored car's, I buy CWR on the premise that it saves the girls having to unwrap them. Glad to hear your having fun with it. Ya'll folks still amaze me. It's all due to your Ryedale machines i'm sure. I've just rolled $50 in zinc which i will exchance for halves which i'll exchance for pennies, and as soon as i can score some free wrappers i'll roll what i have left and add frn's to make it $75 for the weekend.
