With 100% voting for small banks we have a winner. I guess when we get two votes that will change.
I say that because last year my local bank provided high percentages. Mid last year they were taken over since then copper cents have dropped, but I have found a few 40% silver halfs. |
Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended. |

Personally, I say that small ones and large ones can both be good, it just depends on what bank it is. Some credit unions are okay, but many of them only have the new pennies. |

I've not really been able to work my way into the CU. But personally i find that large & small banks both work and don't work. Some small banks won't work with me, and others are very respectful to me. And same deal with large chain banks. Some branches are just aweful and others are really great. |

I find larger percentages in the high 20's low 30's from larger banks like Bank of America and Citizens but don't get treated as well at a large corperate bank. Smaller local banks treat me well, but sometimes don't have enough on hand, and when they do, percentages tend to be in the mid 20's. There is an exception once in a while though |

I do well with large and small banks. I get all the coins that are bagged in the lobby counters so it just depends on what coins people were dumping that week. |

In my area, there is no difference. Been sorting for almost 2 years, bought coins from all of the above, I can tell you there is no real consistent difference. There are fluctuations with the Cu percentages with any of the sources from time to time, but no pattern.

Most banks don't offer free coin counters. I get all the coin I want from my local credit union. I dumpa t another that has multile branches with a free coin counter. |
