I filled one up one time. When you fill it up, you have to pull the machine away from the wall and slap the back several times until you can burp it. Then you can put in a few more pennies. I am sure I was not the first person to the machine that day, though. You would have to start filling it up right after the guy emptied it. I think MaDeuce posted something about the capacity of the machine in another thread when he was talking about a tour the Coinstar folks did for him. I have some 50 gallon tubs I use to dump my pennies in. From the looks of the coinstar machine cabinet it looks like it would hold about 1 of those tubs. So if its capacity is 50 Gallons, that would be about 50 bags or 250,000 coins. I have enough zinc to fill one, but I sure ain't standing in front of that machine for that many hours at 400 coins per minute.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more.
