I only sorted 10 rolss of pennies today. But thet were good ones!
I got my first silver coin found in a penny roll today. A 1964 Canadian dime, 0.800 silver.

I also found 4 1943 US steel pennies. 2 wee made in Philly, 1 from the Denver mint & 1 from San Fransico. All in 4 differnet rolls.

These 10 rolls resulted in 3 rolls - Cdn zinc, 2 rolls US zinc, 1 roll US copper & 4 rolls Cdn copper. This runs with a slightly lower average of 50% copper & 50% zinc.

I usually average about 60% copper & 40% zinc. Sometimes its 55/45. This time I was lucky enought to aquire somebodys penny stash.

I was at this same bank Thursday & the teller told me that an older gentleman came in the day before with $51.00 in pennies in the clear wrappers. I had to go back the next day because my box was not ready yet. I offered to pick up 2 boxes if they wanted to get rid of some more pennies, but was told that the rest were locked up in the vault. Oh well, maybe I will get them next week.

Happy hunting all, Bart.

Nice. Yes. Very nice.

Bart...congratulations on your many awesome finds!!!

All are great, but the silver dime in with the pennies is the best, for sure!

Continued success.

Enjoy your searches, everyone.

Hey Bart,

Nice finds. When you say you run about 50% cu to zincs, what are most of the Canadian dates your pulling out? Are they mostly the 2.5g coins up to 1996 or are they the heavier older series?

Keep posting like this and Cessna won't be the only one making road trips to Canada ;)

Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.

Thanks eeverybody for the kind words!

Hi JobIII -

Most of the copper pennies I find are the 1982-1996 Cdn pennies. The ratio of older coppers 1930-1981 are usually 1/4-1/3 0f my copper found. I also find more US coins than the older copper Cdn pennies. Theres a lot of American pennies here. They are also part of some ones stash -clad included.

Happy hunting all, Bart

Not yet found the silver in a roll, did find a roll of dimes in a dime rapper that was then inside a penny rapper. Got five bucks instead of .50 cents. Congrats on the finds, and would definently start uping the amount I sort if I could find 55%+ in a sort.
