Hello.
What do you guys think the price should be for UN-searched copper cents. Cents that have been sorted by the Ryedale or other machines without the wheats removed.
Thanks.

normal average is about 10 per 2500 or 1 for 250. so for every $2.50 in CU you get an extra $.02.($.02 for cu- $.04 for a wheat). I say add 0 for the "unsearched CU" unless dealing with the uneducated. |
Buying CU cents!!!! Paying 1.2 unlimited amounts wanted. Can pick up if near Ohio area. |

Whatever you can get.. just like the searched copper. How can we be absolutely sure you didn't search these and pull out all the 1909-S VDB's? |

Okay thanks guys. I guess the averages are pretty much the same everywhere.
I will be purchasing from a RCM so I trust they will be unsearched misteroman. I'm not too good at math so what would you guys pay in face value terms. 1.8X, 1.9X, 2X? |

Unless you're buying from me, how do you know they are unsearched?
I dont think anyone pays as high as 1.8 or 2x face..I'm not sure though. I havent bought or sold any in a long time. |

I would be happy to sell you unsearched ones at that level. I have a lot more unsearched ones than searched ones.. and it would save me a step in processing. I can ship $100 face in a flat rate box. |

And I could put them in those free plastic coin shipment bags the bank gives to me.. since I know you don't want them rolled if you are going to search through them. |

Cant beat that. Well unless you threw in a free bag to store them in when he was finished searching them since he would have to cut the one bag open to them them out. |

I might have to ship them in the canvas bags.. there is not enough room left before hitting max weight to get another bag in there. |

I think you should pay what your comfortable with, for what you are receiving.Lots of sellers here, lots of different products here. Depends if your making a play on pure copper,US cents,Canadian,or if you want to find a few wheats buy raw sorted and enjoy your search, then do that.
What I wouldn't do is wait too long, prices on copper cents are going to go up fast. I am wondering about price structure going forward on the different types of sorted copper cents,in the end you give your customer what they want. |

I think you are probably right about getting what you want before copper prices go much higher. I like searching through them myself, but I would be willing to sell off quite a bit of unsearched at a small premium. I would just use the time I save to "sort more!" |

You have to break up one $50 into two 25's to make them fit. So three bags total. There will be extra space in there too. If anyone knows a better way I'd like to know.I guess you could try three $33.33 bags and toss in a wheat. |

I usually just stack 2 of the coin shipment bags in the box on top of each other. I guess you could do it side by side. It certainly fills up a box. Whatever way you ship, be sure to use lots of tape! |

| Just a word that with unsearch coins from the ryedale you may also get some zinc because I know does let a few zinc sneak by. |

Usually the few zinc that sneak by on a Ryedale sort are caused by an occasional coin catching a little bit in the ejection slot and then shooting over the chute and landing in the bucket. This is one reason I do a second copper verification sort. This eliminates those sneaky ones. |
