I went to the bank near my house and picked up $50 worth of pennies. $25 of it was customer wrapped. The teller said she thought I would like the customer wrapped ones because there were probably older ones in there since an old man had turned them in. He had written his account # on the rolls. She said she had blacked out the account #s so she could give them to me. Most of the rolls had 2 to 3 wheats. I had one roll that had 10. However, I was very happy to find one roll that was almost solid wheats (40 were wheats; one was a 1966). Nice find for sure. I also asked her to keep me in the loop if she gets any rolls straight from the mint. She told me if I bring her in an example that she will keep her eyes open and let me know.

That is Awesome, what a joy to find! One time I picked up about $500 dollars in boxes and after sorting the copper, I swear I spent hours picking out the wheats, There was just too many of them, along with tons of canadians!!! I was loving it, probably only got a couple rolls out of the $500 total but there was just so many more than normal.... I also love it when I find euros and weird stuff like that. |

PennySaved...congrats on the great finds.
I concur with jman1237. It is so much fun to find something out of the ordinary and when you get an extra amount, as you did with the wheats, PennySaved, it just makes it like icing on the cake. Even sweeter.
Enjoy your searches, everyone. |

| I think that we may see more wheats coming out as people cash in coins during this down turn |

Nice score man. Wheats are always good, no matter the year.
What dakota1955 seems to be true. I don't generally get CWR's but the other day the lady at the bank forgot to order my weekly boxes. This is a new order as I haven't ordered ANY boxes in a while as I do mainly bags. Okay back to the point.... She said she would find me some rolls there if I wanted. I wanted. $48 worth total. All the rolls except 6 (Brinks condoms) were CWR's, solid copper, and all of those were marked with the years in the rolls and the mint mark. Two rolls were marked "misc.". Older Canadians, including two George V's, and a few rock doves in one. The other roll was solid wheats. Oldest being 1910, newest being 1939. Pretty cool.
My bags have been getting heavier as well. More copper. Keep your eyes open, more goodies to come for sure. Good luck!

| These hits happen rarly, so we must enjoy them when they do. 2 weeks ago I bought $20 of CWR's and i found 63 Wheats and had 56.3% copper. 2nd best find I have had next to my 7 rolls of silver halves out of the 11 rolls I bought. |

| That is a great find. I experienced a very good hit last night as well. 65 Wheaties in 1 box, 19 in 1 roll. Unfortunately only 2 were pre-1940 but I'm not complaining. 34.4% Cu overall. |
