I don't know if the teller at BOA was trying to discourage me from dumping zincs today. Three weeks ago, I could dump $89 (under fifty pounds). Then they asked if I could limit it to $50 face value because of the weight. Today they asked if I could limit it to $25 face because of the weight. What's next? Oh, we no longer accept those?

ive been told a coffee can full is too heavy for them to lift. around $35 or so. boo hoo hoo

Did you tell them you are going to extreme measures to decrease the weight by sorting through them and only putting the lighter ones in the bag?  |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

When I pick up pennies/nickles at one of the banks, the teller in charge of ordering coin can barely lift a box of nickels; you should see her when she has to put it in the pass through box. I think she is going to have a hernia. She has to use her head to push the little door open as she places the box in the passthrough.
I can see where some of the tellers couldnt lift heavy bags. |

The last time my bag was too heavy, the tellers made me walk them into the back room. It was o.k. with me. I saw a plastic bowl next to the counter with two foreign coins in it. I aksed about them and they gave them to me. They were about the size of a quarter, copper colored and from some eastern country that I could not read the writting.
No big deal, but free coins are free coins. |

| My bank has the machine that looks like a coinstar. It prints you out a ticket and you collect. However is you dont have an account they charge a percentage. |
