Couldn't find the old threads about this topic, but I just found my first silver in a cent roll- it's a 1924 sixpence which is sterling silver! All bent up, but I don't mind...

Cool! I've never been that lucky.
Is it British? For Great Britain sixpence, 1920 and before was sterling, then 500 fine until 1946. But hey - .0455 ASW is plenty nice for 1 cent investment!
Oh yeah, I forgot... Australia sixpence were sterling until 1945, then 500 fine until 1963.

I've found clad dimes half a dozen times in a roll, and geez, I was happy with that. I can't imagine the feeling of finding a silver vein!

Hoard now and hold on!

It's British. You're right, it's only 0.500- I was misreading my Krause catalog. Still a deal at 1 cent!
