This got me thinking, I've never counted the coins in my British collection. There's not nearly that many, but it should easily be over 1000 different coins. That's only 50 sheets full! And I recently sold MORE than that amount, which consisted only of my duplication. So, all told, I had close to maybe 3000 British coins. I wish I could have traded them for more...
My grandpa put together a collection, including at least one coin from every country that he could get, and gave it to my mom. Last year I catalogued it for her. There was a lot of duplication in it, but I still would bet it's in the 500 different range.
Maybe I could unite the two, plus all the other world coins I have... then TRIPLE that amount... then I might give this guy a run for his money.
But a guy with that much of a selection needs to stop calling them foreign coins. They're WORLD coins. |
