I am going to be sorting $200 of pennies and $100 of nickels waiting for the new year. I was wondering if people are going to be sorting any coins that night waiting for the new year. If so what will you be sorting?

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

| That particular branch is closing at 3. The Garda guy gets there at 2:30 and I follow right in behind him and wheel them out at 2:35. I was too late to get my order in for this week.. so I will have to stretch out the few meager boxes I have on hand. I think I will pick a bunch of quarters tomorrow.. those sort really fast. |

Hopefully, I will remember to keep some coins back for sorting on New Year's Eve. Husband will be working that day/night, so there isn't much else to do. And, no days off to get me to a bank between now and New Year's Eve.
I'm sorting today, Christmas, as well since he is working.

I would happy to trade some elk meat for copper or whatever.. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGHT TO SHOOT ONE WITH A BOW AND ONE WITH A MUZZLELOADER AND HAVE LOTS OF LEAN HAMBURG and always willing to trade

The fantasy-
If I've got coin rolls, pennies it is. If not, then I'll be tearing copper out of motor windings or stripping copper wire. Nothing like an 8 lb 1 gallon ziplock full of spun copper! Some of the copper from those fan motors windings almost feels like human hair.
Of course in reality, I will find out what my family wants to do first. |

Does between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST count as New Year's EVE? I'm not certain I can hold out until midnight. Yawn, yawn, yawn. I'm way too old for staying up that late. 
I'm searching rolls of pennies at the moment.

I think I'm about to go up and sort a couple rolls of pennies or nickels or both.
We had fun earlier shooting off a few crackers, but metal in the hands will be a nice way to wind down. |
