I couldn't make it to the contest because they held it on Dec. 1st and that is one of the busiest times of the month at the day job for me. The winner only deposited $2400. I could have been a contenda! Prize was $20 fiat added to the winner's account.
I stopped by there to drop off 12 bags of zinc yesterday. They told me they have a new contest.. whoever deposits the most coin for the month of December will win $20. Considering how slow the Coinstar is, I can't win dumping pennies. Guess I will have to go dump some quarters, halves and dollars on Monday to get my numbers up and have a chance.
I was just happy they didn't seem a bit phased by me rolling in the trusty ol' squeeky wheel cart piled high with bags of pennies to dump.

Yeah, I was thinking of cycling some of the new dollars. Some of my other banks are begging me to take them. That is the only way I can get the count up. Unfortunately this CU is only open M-F 9-5.. so Monday is the only day I can dump there for the month. I already have several bags of pennies I am dumping that day along with some nickels and quarters.
