Found my first American silver in a penny roll tonight!

It is a very worn, dateless merc.
Probably a 1916-D

Previously, I have found silver Aussie and British shillings and a Mexican silver.

Nice find. I have found foreign silver, never US silver in penny rolls.

how dark was it? easily confused for a penny? or was i in a machine wrapped roll?

Nice find!! I have found many dimes in my penny bags. I have not found a silver one yet. It is always nice to find dimes mixed with pennies, silver ones are 12X nicer to find.

Yes, it was very dark and in a CWR that contained some of the filthiest coins imaginable which is why I usually don't buy them. I wasn't going to get them but the teller begged me to take $100 worth.
