Well after studying copper and silver charts I was extremely surprised to see how similar they are. Can copper really have the same upside potential as silver? Well after thinking about it, I think so. First the people running the show will always opt for a fiat currency so even when the dollar dies I believe it will only be replaced by another fiat currency (not gold or silver). Second, copper has more of a functional value then silver does. Third I think its extremely realistic that people can use copper to protect their wealth. In the USSR during the collapse and hyperinflation people would tear apart buildings for their copper content. Not so unlike what we are starting to see today I guess.

Anyway here are the charts. Because I can get a deep discount and leverage on copper I've decided to stop investing in silver and move strictly to copper.

| Good thoughts about copper but I think that a person should have a mixed group of pm's. Silver I believe will be a better short term play and copper a longer investment. |

from an investment point of view, silver has better prospects than copper. copper's price depends on economic growth, and we are in a worldwide depression.
now, if you can buy copper coins at a a significant discount to melt value, like at a bank for face value, you might come out ahead. |
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X

Three!? I think we are all in agreement that he has more than three. But then again, I can't think of anybody that has actually seen his lair. |

I only have 4 on the line right now. I strongly believe in diversification also. The best of all possible ways is to get tons of copper at face value from the bank and then convert some of your spare copper into silver. Of course who amongst us actually has any "spare" copper? But you know what I mean. |

1 , 3 ,5 does it really matter how many you have? It doesn't matter if you are a hand sorter or comercial sorter using commercial equipment that is 10X faster than a Ryedale. We are sorting and saving copper for our own goals and within(sometimes) our budget. My position on Silver is stronger than it it in copper. ( melt value ) There are several reasons. One is that silver is easy to selland it takes up less space. I have sold some copper, and I have used the profits to buy equipment and more gold and silver.
I like copper pennies because they can be aquired at face value. But to get a massive amount does take some effort and equipment costs. I am not one to put all of my eggs in one basket. I am like the guy stuck in traffic on a 3 lane interstate. I move from lane to lane depending on which is gonna get me to my destination the fastest. |
You don't have to be the BEST you just have to be.......SLICK

if you are buying copper and silver at market value, silver wins hand down imho.
if you are buying copper at FV and silver at market value, copper wins as long as you value your time invested very low. |

The relaxation gained by the invested time in hand-sorting pennies is very valuable. I probably would not make this a full-time job, at this point...being a shill for The Man is currently much more lucrative.

I agree with slick that it is good to diversify. I like both copper and silver and I don't have enough of either of them right now. |
