Is there any value to cull/dateless George II half pennies?
1 coin I can make out the image of George on the obverse and Georgius II RIX and on the reverse you can see the woman holding the sceptre; you can sort of see the #'s for the date but I can't make them out very well. It does have a slight nick in the rim
2nd coin cannot make out any letters or #s; can just make out images and it it slightly bent.

Well they are made of copper so they have intrinsic metal melt value
Just curious if there was any value beyond melt |

| I saved about 13-14 ounces of culls, bent, holed, squashed foreign (not U.S.)coins,including some unreadable big U.K. Pennies. I put them in a pile on red tablecloth, took a picture. I got 9 bucks on E-bay! (including shipping) Received positive feed back as well. Melt value could not have been more than 1-2 dollars max. |

| Being a British collector, I am interested. Would like to know more though. Is the second coin similar? Where did you find them, and approximately what size are they? |

| If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for them? It's always hard to know what value to place on coins this old, in poor condition. I was thinking about what to offer... |

| He said he thought they would go for $10 so I got $4 for them. I had bought them in the junk bin for 8 cents a piece. |

Oh man! That would have made my day to find an early 18th century British coin in a junk box for 1/12 of a buck! |

| Was $2 each a fair price for my selling it to him? |

I think that sounds good. Both dateless, and one was bent, right? Yeah you did okay. I don't think I would buy them for his price of $5 each though... that's pretty high. |
