I wonder if anyone has a way to get that 2.5% of copper off the zincs. Could one throw a few thousand in a pot of acid to disolve the copper into a solution and then reclaim the copper? Then give back buckets full of grey zinc cents to back to the bank. Would this be illegal?

Not sure about the legality of it, or even how to do it. But I would be willing to bet money that the process of removing and gathering the copper would be alot greater than the value of the copper itself. I could be wrong, but I believe it to be a money losing proposition, at any scale.

Reverse electrolysis.. but the solution would be more than value of the material recovered.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.
