I like the Mercury's. Such a small coin with fabulous details. We'll never get a coin like that in circulation again. |

I agree the peace dollar.
It was made at a time when money was still money. Men were still men.
War was very unpopular and unwanted. |
Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended. |

For bullion purposes I would go with the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar...they are almost always "full-weight" (no slicks)...numismatically Peace Dollars followed closely by SLQs.

My favorite 90% US coin is the Draped Bust Silver Dollar (1795-1804). Nothing can beat this beautiful SILVER coin produced by our founding fathers' administrations.
As for a common bullion coin that we can still find in our SILVER searches, I would vote for the Ben Franklin half dollar. While Walking libs are a close second, there is nothing like seeing the Liberty Bell on the end of a roll saying hello, "I'm a Ben Franklin". |

I WOULD LOVE to have a perfect Version 1 Standing liberty quarter.
Next are walking liberty halves,
then morgan dollars,
Then a nice 1921 Peace dollar
then...the mercury dime I guess, although BU condition Barber coins are nice too!!! |

Hi all-
I like them all but like the dimes best. Big power in a little package. Also see them as really divisible in SHTF situations also.

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.
I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win. |

Probably Franklins, but I also like dimes for affordable fractional silver. I've never really taken to dollars. |

I am a Walking Liberty Half guy too. The Proofs look fantastic! I kind of like the SLQ too.. but most of the ones I get in junk silver are way too worn. |

I am surprised that so many people choose the Franklins. I find them a somewhat ugly coin.
May I ask what you find attractive about them? What do you like about them? |

Barber Halves for me...the reverse is just awesome with that field of stars. Very patriotic and a reminder of when we celebrated liberty and not heads of state. |
