Drom everything I've read about gluten intolerance, rice is universally tolerated in diets around the world and doesn't pose problems for people with gluten intolerance. I've seen a ton of sites suggest stocking up on wheat as the primary grain staple in people's food storage, but not much mention of gluten intolerance being a big but unknown problem. I've talked to several friends who've been diagnosed with celiac disease and they said that their symptoms were misdiagnosed for years and that their cases are probably just the tip of the iceberg. I switched gears in my food storage and eliminated wheat altogether after hearing this. I've now got rice as my primary grain staple.

Great Northen White beans are something that I have a lot of in my food storage. Very universal for baking and soups etc.
Man oh man did I have to use this diet. I got a stomach virus Thursday night that I thought was gonna take me out. The worst was when I got dehydrated and got a MAJOR charlie horse at about 1 AM.
I ate applesauce first since I was so dehydrated, then moved on to Jello. Then I ate crackers and rice. Never got bananas.
I had to drink 1 tsp of water every 5 min to try to get some fluid in me w/o throwing it back up.
