Now, how long do you think copper pennies would stick around in circulation if melting them was not banned and the price of gold kept going up,up,up? I could see a shadow system of a Gresham's Law currency effect develop. Granted, copper pennies take up space and weight, but some of you guys have the right idea of forming a bank with hard asset copper.
