Hello board.

There are several ways to do this, but i have personaly done this in the hills of Vermont, IL, and an unmentionable foreign country.

What you need: Rocks

Build a circular dam on one side of the stream, the closest to where you are. Build it at least 3 feet around but you don't want it to go past the center of the stream due to water movement and pressure. Stack the rocks with as little gap as possible and fill the holes with am mix of creek weeds and local clay/mud and (not necessary but works also as an attractant) feces.
You want to leave a gap in the north side of the damn, so the stream water runs in. The gap should be 6 to 12 inches depending on the size of the pen. The gap should slope inward. Gather the rocks or branches (you can weave green wood rather easily if you score the bend lines, not deep, just so you can see the white of the wood) to block off the gap with a woven door, you use you should use rocks to weight it down.
As you catch fish or game use the non-munchies as bait and food for fish, take off the door at low tide and at the end of high tide, or morning, block it back off. Put food scraps and other fish temptation in the water.
Now you can just wade in and grab a fish when you want to have fish sticks and dehydrated spinach. Try not kill them in the water or get the blood in the water, they can smell the pharamoens of fear in the blood.
Good Luck.

Welcome. Interesting.

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
