Wow. I was thinking about this, and this is perfect. I had already decided to get them each an ASE for Christmas this year. |

my pops started back in 1992, bought me 5 years of proof sets, i only recently found them last year and that was the primary reason for my recent interests in precious metals, anyone with kids out there, it works
the first year he slipped in some canucks tickets in the case , that really got my attention |

I'm trying to teach my kinds the importance of "real" money and money you just spend. If for no other reason, simply because I don't want them getting the two confused. I remember when I was a kid growing up I broke into my father's bottom drawer and yanked out a silver dollar from time to time to go buy candy at the store. This was the late 80's and I'm still shaking my head over that one. I currently have, set aside, some 90% silver for each of my kids. Hope they will enjoy it as much as I do :)

have a 6 year old. he's spent a lot of time helping me sort. so i gave him a ASE a little while ago. I told him the price of silver at the the time. every time he is in my office and i am on the computer he asks me the price of silver. the kid is living through history and i want to make sure he remembers it.
i can remember going to my first coinshow at the age of 9 or 10. this would have been around 1980. bought a 1964 proof set for about $10. The next month when I went back, the dealer was offering me $20 to buy it back from me! |
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X
