I have several huge piles of junk metal out back of my house. I have had several offers from people who want to haul it away, but I figure it is my rainy day fund.
I had to go pick up some lumber and was going to drive by a scrap yard, so I loaded up two dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave. I cut he motors out and any wires I could get ahold of. I had 400 lbs of tin and 72 lbs of motors. I got $30.
I was happy it paid for my gas and lunch for the kids.
First scrap trip
