Well I tried my first box of Kennys yesterday and got skunked. I was hoping for some beginners luck
Maybe I'm spoiled with pennys cause with them you at least get a keeper every one out of four or so

AAARG matey! Don't give up! Go back for more and find that treasure.
With half boxes you have to wade through the SKUNKs. The SILVER is there when you search through halves. Searching through half boxes is sort of like searching with a metal detector and occasionally finding treasure. |

Honestly, my first try of four boxes of halves was my best ever. I tried two to four boxes weekly after that for six months and never came close to the original score. Keep on chugging! |
As far as I know, it is stated "In God We Trust" on the US dollar. How can I trust this currency if I do not believe in God?

Patience will be rewarded. It's required. Yes you get skunked. Generally you will be getting boxes on the top of some stack in a vault.
The boxes or bags have been there, unused for awhile now unless you have other nearby searchers. The stuff on top will be slim pickin's.
Down below may be some that have been there a long while and have silver. Some may have a lot.
Get a couple thousand dollars together and flip it. Order and pick up at one or more banks and drop off (dump) at different banks. Note the armored car service of each bank. You don't want to see the same coins again. Many mark them.
If you can not afford this, it's best to piggyback on another searchers bank. The tellers will let you know if others order halves. You will stand out. Merchants order smaller change.
If you run into unfriendly managers or others, avoid them, don't push it. If you need to go there, find out when they are off or at lunch.
Study the banks around you and open free checking accounts wherever you pick up or dump. This will keep the heat off for a while unless you become a bother. It's best to learn tellers names, head tellers and be friendly. Yesterday I brought chocolate and just happened to get wildly lucky and found about $400 over face in one box after digging for six weeks of (near) skunks. Worth it to me.
Today I made friends and brought a bunch of coins for a show and tell with the tellers. I want happy suppliers and it doesn't hurt as now the head teller has revealed she will hunt for me as she does a couple others.
One head teller has found me two full boxes of LP2's.
Can't believe I paid face after paying the mint all that money for a few.
Patience.
