I bought a broken 14k gold necklace for $19 and sold it for $57.75.
Think they were selling it for cheaper since it was broken. Just goes to show there are still some good deals at thrift stores.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Nice score!...I hit a thrift store at lunch today and got a 3 gram charm marked 750 (European for 18K) and swapped it at a pawn shop across the street for 10 nice Franklin Halves...My cost:$2.92 and still had time to hit Wendy's!
