The bottom edge of lincoln has a silver tone
like the copper color is gone.

this is on the log cabin cent
& formative cent.

these are in the mint capsule

Any Idea what this is ??

Pics would be nice... Being that these should be 95% copper, we have to assume this is not a plated planchet.

Try posting a photo of that coin. Might just be Mint problems with contaminations but a photo might help.

It might have some value as a proof set error although I cannot define it.

I have read somewhere that some of the pennies tone very quickly. Probably something to do with the composition.

This is really odd. Copper coins just don't do that and expecially a proof in a sealed package. A Copper coin would tone down by getting darker not Silvery. I suspect this is an error coin from the Mint. Present that photo to You must be logged in to see this link. Let us know what they say there.
