And it sucked, everything was already taken. all the wires on all the TVs etc were all already cut.
What time should i go out at night before trash day? What time to people normal put there bulk trash out? Should i leave at like 6ish PM?
Thanks for any help, hopefully the next time i go out hunting i'll get to the good stuff first...

Read alot. Learn everything you can about scrapping. Learn your metals, how items are built and what goes into them, and how to get em out.
Learn whats worth taking, whats worth stripping on the spot and whats worth leaving.
You'd be surprised what some people leave behind because they just don't know!
edit:
Get a set of overalls, heavy gloves, and a "Den of Destruction" toolkit i.e. sawzall/hacksaw, bolt cutters, tin snips, 2.5 or 4lb hammer, prybar etc etc.
Makes the job easier to just take what you need. |

| Where I live most of the pick ups are in alley ways. so people start putting out stuff 1-2 weeks early. So go often. And like Kurr said make sure you know what you want to take. People cut off cords because they do not want to further break down the item. It depends on how much time and space you have... |
