I think I read an ad by these guys. If it's the same company, they were selling rolls of 05 buffalo nickels, 4 $2 bills in a "banker stack" rolls of pennies, a silver eagle and other common recent stuff that would "never be minted again by law". You pay a few hundred in installments all for a few bucks worth of coins, silver and 4 $2 bills but it comes with a "free bonus" small safe. The coins were in their own custom rolls in the photos.
Maybe someone bought the scam - realized they were just worth face - and dumped the coins.

I wouldn't mind having them for my special "interesting coin marketing scams" collection. I could put them right next to my "Balistic Roll" of Washington dollars.
