Craziest thing happened to me tonight. I always count my bags of CWR to see how accurate the count is before putting them through the ryedale. I quite often get dimes and have just let them collect in the dime cup. I decided to count them up tonight and after counting to 103 I look down and a small penny had snuck through and another dark coin....after a closer look it is a barely recognizable 1917 mercury dime!!! My first American silver find in a penny roll. I have found two silver six pence previously. Unfortuantely I am not sure when it appeared. I normally presort by hand all of the canadians and wheats out prior to putting them through the counter. So this got by my initial presort and almost got by my dime count tonight as well.
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities.
