WOW! What a beauty! It's a hundred years old. I wonder how much TLC went into its preservation over the years. |

$16.00... I believe latest greysheet for an MS60(my opinion) was 18ish, so I thought I did good... |

I think your grade is spot on if not a little conservative. It's a beautiful coin. Everytime I look at the "VDB" it looks like it is impressed rather than raised... I think it has to do with the shadows.
Very nice coin |

Looks good man. It will look good in your book.
Deal |
Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

I just wish I could take a better pic. My pic looks like there is a blemish on the rights side of Lincoln's bust, but it actually is just as bright as the field on the left side of Lincoln's bust...
Time to get a better camera... Creativity before capital can only take you so far. :)
Thanks for everyone's comments I appreciate it.
Now of course this isn't a key date, but how do you all think this coin can perform say over the next 20yrs? Would it be worth picking up the few others he has in this condition?
Was the 1909 vdb hoarded like the 50d nickel? |

Yeah they are nice. I actually wish we would go back to something like that on coins instead of having deceased presidents
oober its a semi key. I mean if you had money to spend somewhere you could buy a few of them. I cant promise they will shoot up high but they could. The US isnt making anymore, but some other country might. |

Nice - consider getting it slabbed? |

If he has other semi-keys (such as this) I would definitely pick them up assuming you get a good price. I looked at the coin again and I don't see any signs of cleaning or anything, looks like a great coin! |

A cheap scanner will get you great pictures of your coins. |
