I'm not sure if Hillary Clinton really knows how precarious our relationship is with China. She gets her info from Geithner, Bernanke and Paulson, so who knows how much they've revealed to her.
Heck, I'm not even sure if those three guys realize how angry the Chinese are. |

Don't kid yourself. Hillary is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. You can bet your life she knows exactly what the score is.
That statement by her was pure propaganda to pacify the sheeple.

| What would you expect our Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to say? China is worried, they will stop buying Treasuries, they distrust the US and want to bring down the USA? Our Secretary of State knows the score between the USA and China. I wish I knew what was being said in private meetings that is not revealed to us. |

WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says she thinks the Chinese "are breathing a little easier" about the health of the U.S. financial system.
She doesn't know that they are, but she thinks they are.... Some advice Hillary, watch what they DO not what they SAY.
The Chinese have the upper hand, hence they can easily manipulate what she (or Geithner et al) thinks their frame of mind is. It is much easier for them to keep the situation in hand since they are a command and control economy with only a thin veneer of capitalism on top, and only so long as -- and to the extent that said veneer serves the purposes of the state.(Sorry for the run-on sentence) They don't have to weigh every word and nuanance every sentiment to avoid upsetting a spectrum of lobbyists who own them.
The Chinese have already turned towards alternate markets, including their domestic market. |

It would be a good start. In the words of Rik Emmet of the band Triumph, in one of their classics, "Now I don't ask for much, the truth will do just fine...."
