That is ridiculous! Tasering a pregnant woman and a man three times? I think each one of those officers should suspended and tasered four times before they are allowed to return!

I guess the question I have is what percentage of cops get caught up on power trips and what percentage of them have the public good in mind. I haven't had any bad run-ins with cops. Even the four times I've been pulled over for driving a little fast and give the officer my handgun permit along with my license, they've treated me with the utmost respect and haven't tried to tell me that I think I'm hot snot because I carry a gun for self-defense.

Be lucky we live in a pretty "gun friendly" state...This brings up a question for everyone. How many of you guys consent to searches conducted on traffic stops? Why or why not?

I don't consent to searches per se, but if I get pulled over, I'm going to hand the officer my handgun permit to protect myself and the cop. The last thing either of us would need is a misunderstanding that gets bullets flying.

Having said that, unless the cop has a warrant and asks to search my car, I would refuse to allow it. The Fourth Amendment still means something, unless people refuse to abide by it.
