| My guess is the 1899's are the "O" variety. It looks like he has 1921 listed twice, so I wonder if the "no mint marks" is for the 1898 only. Hopefully you pick up a couple 1899-P Morgans, but they are somewhat more rare (I think mintage was only 330,000 and who knows how many were melted over the years) so having 2 in a small collection like that would be a bit odd. Good luck though! Let us know how it turns out. |

| I have the same concerns that coinhunter has. I would go look at them and look for mintmarks. |

I have a 4 pm meeting set up for today. gonna bring the scale and a magnifying glass.
She is at work and thought the MM was beside the dates.
I am meeting at a CVS at 4.
If they have mint marks I am going to retract my bid and let the person who offered $260 have them

That stinks. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I think you did good to walk away from this one. Her asking price is roughly $100 more than I would have done. |

Yeah sounds like she was expecting nearly full retail on these. Maybe someone else will go for it, but you did good not to even do $300. |
