I found a small box of copper my grandpa put up in the 70s about 1/3 wheat and a half roll of 40-49 wheats. For a man with little formal education he sure was a wise man. He and my Dad also put back some junk silver. Now it's my turn.

Nice find. I wish my grandparents, or parents would have been into coin collecting or at least pulling silver or wheats from circulation. Then I might have gotten started sooner pulling things from circulation, while there was still anything left to pull. It has gotten to the point now where there is very little left in circulation anymore. I find less and less wheats all time, and almost NO silver.

COPPER - the "poormans" precious metal!!!

SELLING - $100.00 face copper shipped to you for $189.00 machine rolled or bagged - PM me if your interested.

My mother still has a piggy bank she started for my college savings when I was born. Half Dollars only. She never broke into it. If my memory is right it was full by the mid 1970's. Yes I have been out of school longer than I was in and my mother likes to hang onto somethings. I look forward to the day I get to see what is inside.

Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ.

Yeah, what great coins will be collected freely from loose change 50 years from now?

its good to see it was found by someone who would appreciate it.

my grandfather sold his silver when it spiked there in the early 80's...i remember it was mostly stuff (halves, quarters, dimes) he had pulled in the 60's.

Wish I had a great relative story to share about PM's etc but i don't. Oh well, perhaps I can be that relative...

The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities.
