I bought a sack of British 1p and 2p coins at a local coin show. Here's the sorting results:

1 pence coins
---------------
108 copper (1971-1991) (64.3%)
60 steel (1992-2008)

2 pence coins
---------------
25 copper (1971-1991) (50.0%)
25 steel (1992-2008)

At current exchange rates, the melt value of these coins is 64% over face falue.

Have you any interest in shipping just a few of those to a British collector? Huh? I just can't seem to lay my hands on a lot of the new stuff!
