If this gets passed I will lose almost all of my motivation for this country to get on the right track. If REAL conservatives don't take over Washington by 2012, I'm OUT OF HERE. You won't catch me paying for other people's debt, when they won't pay for mine. RIP USA!
I've heard Peter Schiff several times when he's been on CNBC in the early morning. He also had (maybe still has) a show on shortwave radio on Wed nights I believe.
I don't believe that anyone is correct 100% of the time, but I will give him credit for tenacity and the fortitude to stand his ground against some of the biggest goons in the business. He's also a pro-gold and pro-foreign currency maven and I've been in that camp for a long, long time.
The country has taken a full rack of torpedoes amidships and the holes can't be patched fast enough to keep us from the big drop. The bigger challenge, though, is how can we educate people whom we care about to help them realize the situation is very serious and ignoring it won't make it go away?
Here in Wisconsin, we have some of the highest property and gasoline taxes in the US. We're squeezed so much, I have to make my daughter wear penny boxes for shoes. At least she has an endless supply.
