President Barack Obama on Tuesday said new jobs will require greater training and post-high school education to achieve a better skilled work force.

"My expectation is, is that we will probably continue to see unemployment tick up for several months," Obama said. "And the challenge for this administration is to make sure that even as we are stabilizing the financial system ... are people able to find good jobs that pay good wages?"

I hear this time and time again. Get a better education to be in the skilled work force. What good is the education if there is little opportunity to find a job? Tell that to the thousands of computer professionals with technical degrees that have been layed off in the past few years. Many job opportunities have been globalized away from the US as our productive capacity has declined.

Current Shadow-Stats estimate for US Unemployment is 20% and increasing.

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.
