| I know Nickeless does/used to. I am close to the border in Owensboro, so it may be possible that you will get my dumps, or I may get yours. Welcome to Realcent! This is a very nice place. |

| I live in Brazil, and i hand sort pennies and nickels right now. I would like to search halves but cant find how to get a hold of them in bulk..none of the banks around me carry more than what customers bring in which is almost always less than a roll. |

Nocentsisnonsense, if you come to Terre Haute much, I know that the Old National branch at Plaza North has $50 bags of pennies instead of boxes--bags will help you sort so much faster, and you won't have dozens of Brinks boxes laying around afterward. Not every branch has bags, but just call around. I can't think of other banks in the Haute that carry bags instead of boxes. I sold my Ryedale to Misteroman awhile back and I'm not actively sorting copper at the moment because of my work and travel schedule, so I'm a little out of the loop with mass coin pickups. I had Fifth Third bank order a $500 box of halves for me a while back (not even a single 40% silver half--the entire box was a dud), but the tellers were glad to order the box for me after I bribed them with chocolate. |

| I dont make it over there very often but my wife does when they go shopping. Which 5th third banks has the halfs? To me i would rather find silver than copper and quarters and dimes are worth the time. Does anyone ever have luck with brinks halves boxes? |

I have not been sorting lately except for hand sorting a "few" nickels, but yes my hoard and myself are in Indy. Also most of my hoard is single machine sorted, so in the future I need to spend several months doing a 2nd pass, but no plans to accumulate more at the momment. |

I just asked Fifth Third to order a box from Brinks. Quite frankly, the few trips I've made to various banks to see if they actually have halves on hand have been pretty useless. One Old National branch (I think it was the one at 25th and Poplar in Terre Haute) had four CWR of mostly bicentennial halves that someone must've dumped there, and the few other banks I've asked about halves on hand looked at me like I was an alien. Not too many banks seem to be keeping halves actually on hand, it seems. I'd suggest just going into the branch where you have the best rapport with the tellers, tell them (would that make you a "teller"? ) that you want to order a box of halves, and give them several bags of Hershey's Miniatures to bribe them into placing the order. |

I used to live in Ft. Wayne, IN. I could get $50 bags from National City branches. But then about a year ago they stopped selling them to me....policy or something. I don't think I was the only one in Ft. Wayne doing cents though.
I'm in South Texas now though, so no competition from me!!! |
