I've got a 1983 penny where there is a weird subtle raised edge (not the normal edge) through the top parts of "In God We.." I was sorting through a bunch of pennies and this one slightly stuck out from the others. What would this be considered?

Hi ZippyGaloo ... I don't know what it is called, but you will find that kind of raised edge on quite a few Lincolns in the 80s and 90s. At least I've found a lot of them searching rolls. I think I remember reading somewhere that there is no extra value to this type of coin ... unless, I suppose, some of the words or letters in "In God We Trust" are totally missing.

Don't foget to check the reverse of the 1983 (if its a P, not a D mint mark) for a doubled die. That would make really worth some bucks!
