| NO...If President Obama's proposals and legislation fail, we'll just get the Republicans back. Sometimes I think Blugill's idea of the two headed serpent holds true. Wouldn't it be nice to finally get something truly different. |

Can we afford Obama's proposals and legislation???
Nickelless, even a junior reporter knows what taking "out of context" means. That wasn't my point. My point was, America needs something different for a change.
Sometimes I wish we should start over and remake America the way it was meant to be, with the vision of our founders. Perhaps a yet to be conceived new vision is needed. We'll have to go through hell to have that happen, but maybe that how it's got to be. |

Country, I don't think my comment took anything out of context at all. I didn't vote for GWB either time and thought that he was the most fiscally irresponsible president we'd ever had. It was because of GWB that I changed my party affiliation from Republican to independent. Now Obama is ramming even costlier legislation through Congress with trillion-dollar-per-year deficits. I'll take the bad ol' days of GWB if the bills that Obama is already piling up are a sign of what's to come. We can't afford it.
EDIT: Now, to get this thread back on track (which I guess I haven't helped ...back to the institutions that are "too big to fail"... |
