Any ex-Marines out there? I'd like to hear your viewpoints of what you think about dissent in the force.

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

I'd hate to think about having to serve with Draftee's, Nothing like being around people who do not want to be there. Especially if they're angry and have weapons.

Trolling is an art.

I served with many people in the army who volunteered and did not want to be there. A lot of people join the military not knowing what it's like, and end up hating every minute of it. I shudder to think about how modern "draftees" would react/behave in the service.

Retired Marines will tell you there is no such thing as ex-marines. I am not a soldier or marine, but I think dissent is fine so long as it is dissent from an unlawful or grossly immoral order. If you just have a problem with authority in general, then you are stupid for signing up.

And he that hath lyberte ought to kepe hit wel / For nothyng is better than lyberte / For lyberte shold not be wel sold for alle the gold and syluer of all the world.
