Hey everyone,

I just got done sorting $77.10 in pennies. (I know its a weird number but thats what the bank had in loose pennies) I found a 1914 S in VF-XF condition! (Scan doesnt pick up all the detail on the cheek, hair, or top of wheats) Should be worth around $25

Major score - I got a 1930 S the other day and I rushed to the price book because it seemed like it should be rare, but it isn't at all. I've since brushed up on all the key dates.

AMAZING FIND! Fifty years ago when I was searching through pennies, I never found a 1914-S. Great Find.

Congrats highroller! Maybe I will eventually find something equivalent to that, but I doubt it with the volume I'm doing now. How did you spot it? By hand, or using a Ryedale?

Using my Ryedale.

I always quickly thumb through the zinc side for wheats or indians. I never take very much time doing this because normally it is a waste of time. This baby just happened to be showing me her backside This is also how I found my 3rd IH on monday while sorting.

I went through a box last night and I didnt find as great as a find as you did.

However, I was finding all these teens and 20s wheat pennies.

One of them was a 1926 S
