Is there a way to make money via the changes in the gold to silver ratio. Ie. if the price of gold fell and silver was steady, would you sell your gold to buy up more silver? or vice versa.

Yes, if you play the ratios right. Say you trade 1oz of gold for 100 oz of silver. The ratio than goes down to 75:1 You than can take your 100oz of silver and trade them for 1.333oz of gold. You didnt spend any more money, you just simply traded right.

Note that everytime you exchange/trade something their usually is a cost involved like shipping or dealer fees, ect
