In my last box I found a penny(thought it was a penny) with a P on one side and some other stuff on the reverse,anyway looked online and its something that comes with proof sets.Any value to it? phil

| Yes, I read about this somewhere too. It comes in mint sets, not proof sets though. I think another member said it probably doesn't have much value, but would be a cool keep sake. Good find. |

These tokens were put into US mint sets from 1984-1999. The "P" Philadelphia token was placed in the Philadelphia portion of the mint set. The "D" Denver token was placed in the Denver portion of the mint set. These tokens were minted on the same blank planchet as the penny. Their value is about a 25c.
