| I know a lot about fish keeping, aquarium size wise and large tank wise. I don't have any links but I'm pretty knowledgeable about the subject. If you have any questions, PM me or post them on here and I'll try to get back. |

I also know a lot about fishkeeping. I worked at a fish store until a few months ago. Fish farming is difficult at a small scale but i think the containers you would put them in would be horse troughs. They are about 8 feet in diameter and 2 feet deep. This link is of a good sized african cichlid breeding program in the US. You must be logged in to see this link. this will show you some of the containers and some of the equipment necessary for fish breeding. I also believe you can use the cheap swimming pools to hold fish. I hope this helped.

| If you live in the right area, you might also try the local Salmon hatchery to learn about raising fish. Here on the west coast fish are raised in ocean pens. Also possible to do it inland. I heard someone used an old gravel pit hole around here. |

With knowledge about aquariums comes knowledge about large tanks. I know a lot about water chemistry, foods for different fish, natural filters, etc. |

Copper catcher, you can also grow plants outside with no fertilizer using the water from the pond in a hydroponics system. The fish produce nitrates, which conviently happens to be the food plants need. It's called aquaponics. |

KYfishtruck.com you can probably find them in Louisville one weekend when you're up, catfish go for .34 to .78 each depending on size from 2"-4" up to 8"-11" in length. They can grow out to harvest size [1.5-2lb] in one summer. |

They might even deliver in the Henderson, KY area which would be more convenient to you. They deliver all over KY.

| Thanks for the tip, JSutter. I'm spending more time up in Indiana with work at the moment and don't have a permanent settlement in the Owensboro area yet. Also, I sold the parcel of land I had north of Louisville because I'm not able to spend the time I need to spend to develop it, but since everything is shifting west to Owensboro and points northward, it's all good. I'll definitely give KYfishtruck.com a shout as soon as I get a more permanent homestead around Owensboro. |
