Subsides corn to the point that it becomes the dominant feed stock for meat, replaces cane sugar as a sweetener in softdrinks and makes 1/3 of the nation obese, AND THEN tax the final product.

On a side note, I've often wondered how much more food could be planted if Americans cut back on their meat consumption by, say, 20 percent and used the excess land for planting crops besides feed for cattle. But what do I know, I'm just a taxpayer who hasn't lost his common sense yet...
