Tried out a new bank yesterday as the averages were getting down. Went a bit further out out my suburbs & tried out the BOM. I asked the teller for $25 in pennys prefferably CWRs. Then I had to explain what CWR meant. As always, banks are quite happy to get rid of some pennys.
Yes, I got a 1943 zinc US penny. I thought that the odds of finding one up here would be slim & none as you guys down south don't find them too often.
The bonus roll was a full roll of nickels was included in my $25 of pennys. It was even marked quite clearly in marker 40 X 5 cents. Cool score!!
Right across the road from this BOM was a Scotia Bank. So with my personable vehicle taking holidays when its damp & raining or just humid, I thought that I should grab another box of pennys. So I look in my wallet & notice that its empty. So I fish in the side for the emergency $50 & give that to the teller. She comes back with the pennys & hands me my change which I stuff in my pocket.
On the way I go home I notice that the gas is low so I stop & put in $25 bucks as thats all the paper money I have. Low & behold I have 2 twenties & a fiver in my change from the bank when I go to pay for the fuel. Even better bonus!
With the current generations math skills no wonder the banks are having money problems.
Yes I know that I am evil keeping the $20 but the bank can spare it more than I can. WSIB pays me $XX.xx a month but thats my problem. This $20 is a welcome bonus!
Happy Hunting All, Bart.

You mean steel, right? If it's a zinc, you could be rich....

Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |
