| Great - I only own one share of GM (framed on the wall) as part of my collection of most of the DOW 30. Now they want to turn it into 1/100th of a share worth maybe a penny... This sucks. |

`Everybody is ignorant. Only on different subjects.' Will Rogers
"This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the "hidden" confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard." Alan Greenspan, 1966. |

| Certificates for scandal stocks, spectacular failures, and other odd things sometimes become valuable... Just happy I don't own a lot of GM shares. |

Naa - workers there used to call it "Generous Motors."
As a former owner of several of their products, I know that it actually means "General Maintenance."

Hey Jadedragon, how do you get the actual certificate? I have some stocks, but it is 100% online broker account. I've always wanted to do what you have with a few of my favorites. |

Talk to a live human being at your broker, and see if they can set you up. Some publicly traded companies have eliminated paper certificates though - it's a growing trend.
There is a site called Oneshare.com where you can buy single share certificates.
